AI content volume is the wrong objective when judgement is weak.

The usual case for AI in marketing starts with production: make more content, faster. That makes sense when production is genuinely holding execution back. But when the harder constraint is deciding what deserves action, extra output gives weak judgement more places to travel.

Before I choose what to build, I inspect the signal a senior marketer would use to change a decision; my rule is to let that signal define what the workflow may recommend and where it must stop for human judgement. Volume alone tells me little.

Suppose a team can already produce enough campaign variants, but people disagree about which merit use. Adding a content generator expands the pile; the selection problem stays put. A system built around the team’s decision criteria would address the tighter constraint because it would help the team choose rather than merely produce.

The broad claim breaks at that boundary. When production capacity is the bottleneck, content tools have a clear job. If selection is the harder call, I would start with the judgement behind the choice and treat generation as secondary.
